A Diplomate of Acupuncture is an acupuncturist who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse practicing at AdventHealth Hendersonville (Park Ridge) on the OB/GYN unit for over 20 years, Mindy is familiar with the language and practice of Western medicine. Mindy was the first official acupuncturist with AdventHealth Hendersonville (Park Ridge), and is astute at blending Chinese medicine theory with conventional Western medicine to create a treatment plan that supports each person’s unique holistic healing process. Another advantage of Mindy’s experience as a nurse is that she is keen to situations when a client’s needs require the attention of a Western medicine practitioner.
